Salmon Fishing
The salmon fishing season on the River Deveron runs from
11th February until 31st October each year.
The Deveron is known particularly for being where Clementina 'Tiny' Morison caught a 61lb salmon in 1924 at Mountblairy on the Deveron. This is the biggest salmon on record to be caught on the fly in the UK!

We are lucky that, on six occasions, fish caught on our beats have won the Morison Trophy - a trophy presented each year to the angler who has caught the biggest salmon by fly on the Deveron.
Our winners:

2011 – Jean Marshall caught a 29lb salmon at Upper Netherdale
2012 – Craig Wyness caught a 29lb salmon at Upper Netherdale
